Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak secured his first win in Formula 3 with victory at the Silverstone Sprint, becoming the first Thai winner since Alex Albon.
Inthraphuvasak started on pole due to the reverse grid and delivered a commanding performance to take the chequered flag in P1. Inthraphuvasak held off Martinius Stenshorne and Campos teammate Mari Boya in doing so.
The result helped Inthraphuvasak climb above Charlie Wurz to 14th in the Drivers’ Standings, with the Silverstone Feature Race and three more rounds still to go.
Speaking to the media, the Thai driver spoke of his elation at the result, his pride at being a flag bearer for Thai motorsport, and his hope for the rest of the season.

Inthraphuvasak’s delight with victory at Silverstone
Inthraphuvasak was overjoyed with his maiden Formula 3 victory at the British Grand Prix Sprint Race. The victory is also his first in any series since 2022, with the Thai driver going through a challenging few years.
“It feels super good. We’ve had a tough season so far, but my pace has always been there to be in top five.”
Inthraphusavak admitted to making a mistake in qualifying, but was happy with how he recovered to manage the race well.
“I think I managed the race pretty well and came out with a win, so I’m really happy.”
Expanding on his race management, Inthraphusavak added: “I tried to manage and stay in DRS with [Théophile Nael] and then I saw mid-race that he was struggling a lot with his rears, so I took advantage of that and pulled away.”
On the improvements that can be made
This victory could prove to be a real spark for Inthraphuvasak as he heads into the final three-and-a-half rounds of the season. He has so far struggled compared to Campos teammates Boya and Nikola Tsolov, but the outfit sits second in the Contructors’ Championship.
“We’ve had the speed throughout the whole season, just not putting things together. This definitely boosts my confidence, and then hopefully we keep the momentum up for the remainder of the season.”
Later, he added: “This gives me a really big confidence boost overall to keep pushing for the rest of the season and find the extra little bits with the team to consistently be on top.”
A strong team ethic at Campos Racing
Both Campos podium finishers were quick to praise the team and the impact of the weekend’s performance so far. The team currently trail Trident by only 19 points in the Constructors’ Standings.
“It’s a really good result for the team overall. P1 and P3 gives us strong points, and this weekend overall all drivers are in the top 12 in qualifying. There’s a good chance for us to all score points.
Inthraphusavak also praised the factory efforts, stating: “I’m really happy with the team, and I want to thank them for continuing to push and giving us a good car today.”
An “honour” for Inthraphuvasak to represent and help grow the sport in Thailand
The victory for Inthraphusavak makes him the first driver to win at Formula 3 level since Alex Albon in Sepang in 2016. Inthraphusavak is proud to be representing his nation at a time when the sport is growing and a Thai GP looks ever-likely.
“It’s an honour to carry the Thai flag with me and put it on the top step of the podium today. I think the sport is growing a lot in Thailand.
“There’s news of Formula 1 hosting an event in Thailand soon. So yeah, it’s really good to see that the sport is becoming more and more famous in the country, as well as Alex who’s done it here. Hopefully one day I can be in Formula 1 in Thailand.”
Silverstone a “second home” for Inthraphuvasak
A lot of drivers who make the switch to European series find themselves at home in England. When asked about his time in the country so far, Inthraphuvasak described England as a home away from home.
“The first championship I did was British F4. So, I raced around the British tracks, and I am quite familiar with Silverstone.
“I also lived in England for around five or six years now. I live in London around two hours from here. So, basically it feels like a second home race for me.”
