After an eventful Free Practice session 1 yesterday, we are ready for a wet day of racing, on the second day of the Berlin E-Prix. In the last few minutes, Pascal Wehrlein crashed into his teammate, Antonio Felix da Costa. Bringing a bad start to the last two race weekends, while fighting for the championship.
Cancellation and what it means for the rest of the day
Due to heavy rain, the second Free Practice session of the Berlin E-Prix got cancelled by race control. Now the teams now don’t have any practice in the wet, ahead of qualifying. This cancellation means that the drivers have to wait until Qualifying at 11:20 (track time) to drive in the wet for the first time this weekend.

What happened in FP1?
The session started relative calm, with a little rain over the day, the track was dry ready for FP1. Getting the drivers prepared for a dry race, which is unlikely. Due to heavy rain forecasted for the whole weekend. With about 15 minutes left on the clock, Porsche driver Pascal Wehrlein crashed into his teammate. Ending the session on a red flag, as the car from Da Costa needed to be cleared of the track.
Though crashing, Wehrlein came fastest in the first Free Practice session of the Berlin E-Prix. Followed by Edoardo Mortara and Nick Cassidy.
