Chloe Chambers has won the safety car-filled final race of the Canadian Grand Prix in F1 Academy.
Chloe Chambers and Alisha Palmowski started alongside each other once again this weekend. Closely behind, they were followed by championship leader Doriane Pin. The pair will be eager not to repeat the same mistakes of Saturday, aiming for a 1-2 finish for the team.
Elsewhere, yesterday’s race winner Emma Felbermayr starts down in sixth place, PREMA’s Tina Hausmann.
Following a difficult weekend, Maya Weug will start the race from fifteenth, hoping to get into the points. The Ferrari academy driver is now at risk of dropping to P3 in the championship if Chambers has a strong performance.
Lights out for the final time in Canada
F1 Academy is underway for the final time in Montreal. Chloe Chambers has a strong getaway immediately. Ella Lloyd wasted no time applying pressure, challenging both Alisha Palmowski and Doriane Pin in the opening corners.
Drama quickly unfolded as Palmowski made contact with the McLaren driver, spinning herself around. Fortunately, both drivers were able to continue, though Palmowski was forced to pit for a front wing replacement following the incident.
The safety car is brought out on the opening lap of race 3, as elsewhere on Mathilda Paatz, driving a wildcard entry, lost control of her car and collided heavily with Aiva Anagnostiadis. Both sustained significant damage and were forced to retire from the race..
Before the safety car intervention, some key drivers made early progress. Maya Weug climbed up to 12th, edging closer to a points-paying position, while Tina Hausmann impressively placed her Aston Martin PREMA into the podium places.
Meanwhile, her race engineer tells Nina Gademann to work with her teammate Hausamann on the restart. This gave flashbacks to the Chinese Grand Prix, in which the message was reiterated to both drivers who inevitably crashed.
Safety Car pulls in
At the end of lap 7, the safety car is brought back into the pits. Chloe Chambers leads the pack away once more. She is closely followed by Lloyd and Hausmann, eagerly fighting for this win.
Chambers has a perfect restart, building a half-second gap to Lloyd behind. Elsewhere on the restart, Doriane Pin gets past one of her PREMA teammates, Gademann, moving herself into the top four for the race.
Yesterday’s race winner, Emma Felbermayr, found herself in an intense battle with Nina Gademann. The fight ended in disaster as Gademann made contact, spinning Felbermayr around and compromising both drivers’ races. Gademann was awarded a 10-second time penalty for her actions.
Meanwhile, Ella Lloyd continued to shine, setting the fastest lap and rapidly closing the gap to race leader Chloe Chambers, reducing the margin to just 0.2 seconds. Hot on their heels, Doriane Pin began to surge forward, eventually clocking the fastest lap on lap 17 and bringing herself firmly into contention.

Remarkably, less than one second separated the top three at this stage, setting the race up for a thrilling conclusion.
Further down the field, Lia Block misjudged the gap between herself and Rafaela Ferreira. making contact and forcing herself to retire from the race. It was another heartbreak for Block, who has faced her share of misfortune this season.
Aurelia Nobels, arguably one of the unluckiest drivers on the grid, was also caught up in the incident. Through no fault of her own and was forced to retire alongside Block.
Another safety car
The safety car made anither appearanceo on lap 11 following the Block-Ferreira collision. Amid the chaos, Maya Weug continued her charge. Moving up into seventh place and positioning herself well inside the pointsother appearance.
At the end of lap 12, the safety car came into the pits. As Chambers leads the pack away for the third time today, she is under immense amounts of pressure from the pair behind her.
Maya Weug and Alisha Palmowski have made the most out of their difficult situations. Moving themselves up into P6 and P7. The pair have had a brilliant recovery drive.
On lap 14, the safety car was deployed for a third time following a collision between Emma Felbermayr and Courtney Crone. The Sauber driver made a similar mistake to Block, misjudging the space between himself and Crone.
With limited time remaining, the race ultimately concluded behind the safety car.
Chloe Chambers claimed her first F1 Academy victory of the 2025 season. Under relentless pressure, the American remained cool. McLaren’s Ella Lloyd secured her third consecutive second-place finish of the weekend, further cementing her impressive form. Championship leader Doriane Pin completed the podium in third.
